The idea to develop a simple video series and guidebook covering the Ten Crucial Days of the Revolutionary War first occurred to me while talking with some of my son’s friends, and later with my own friends and acquaintances about the American War for Independence.
None seemed to understand the importance of Washington’s crossing of the Delaware, no did they connect that event to The Battle of Trenton and the two immediate battles that followed, therefore they did not know, nor had they been taught that the American victories in these three battles, which occurred in ten consecutive days, were essential to our country’s independence and to their own freedom today.
The Internet and YouTube are replete with material about the Ten Crucial Days of the Revolutionary War, but few go into each battle back-to-back, nor are they designed to be watched in one sitting, and to my knowledge, none include a guidebook.
These three videos quickly explain The Battle of Trenton, Assunpink Creek, and Princeton, all infer the spirit of faith and freedom, and each relates its importance to the ten days that changed the tide for George Washington, his patriots, and our country.
Designed to be watched individually or in one sitting, The Battle of Trenton, Assunpink Creek, and Princeton are made to quickly teach people of all ages what happened, why it happened and why it is important to all Americans today.
